Dr. Philip Yancey spoke on the real meaning of prayer, Christians living by different principles and how classical music revived his spirituality.

Author Dr. Philip Yanceysaid he reached a spiritual crossroads when he realized he'd been lied to about God during his church upbringing.

Describing himself as a "a fellow pilgrim" more than a celebrity, Yancey has sold more than 13 million books of his observations and efforts "to figure it all out," and the factors contributing to his journey from disillusioned church attendee to author of spiritual encouragement.

His titles include "The Jesus I Never Knew," "Church: Why Bother?" "What's Amazing About Grace?" and his new release, "Prayer: Does It Make Any Difference?" He is an editor-at-large for Christianity Today.
